Kharagpur is well connected with major cities in West Bengal by road. NH-6 is passing through this town connecting to Kolkata and Howrah.
Railway connectivity:
Kharagpur Industrial Park is 8 Km away from Kharagpur railway station, the busiest station of south eastern railway zone. Kharagpur is an important station on Howrah-Mumbai and Howrah-Chennai route. It is 106 Km away from Howrah Junction Station.

The Haldia Port is the closest port from the Industrial Park at a distance of about 127 Km while the Kolkata port is located approximately 138 Km from the site.

Paved Bituminous internal roads are providing facilities of entry and exit to all Industrial units within the Industrial Park
Kharagpur Industrial Park
There are two approach roads as access routes for industrial units in the Industrial Park.
Approach 1 - This four lane National Highway with paved shoulder is being maintained by the National Highway Authority of India and connects Kharagpur to Kolkata
Approach 2 - All the internal routes of the Industrial Park and is being maintained by WBIIDC.
Power
West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd. (WBSEDCL) is providing stable and quality power supply to the units of Kharagpur Industrial Park. Adequate power is available in the area.
Water
WBIIDC has made requisite arrangements to ensure continuous water supply to the Industrial Park by pumping out ground water from eight number bore wells.
Street Light
Street light system is in existence at internal roads of the Industrial Park. WBIIDC has also taken initiatives for solar powered LED street light installation towards utilization of renewable energy and reduction of carbon footprint.
