Raninagar Industrial Park was established in the year 1987 in Jalpaiguri district of West Bengal. The Industrial Park is located at a distance of 8 kms from Jalpaiguri Town on State Highway 12A, also known as Siliguri-Jalpaiguri Road. Jalpaiguri is the largest city and the district headquarters as well as a divisional head quarter of the region. It is an important Trade Centre due to its proximity with North-East states.

Road connectivity:

Primary approach road to the Industrial Park is State Highway no. 12A being widened to 4 lanes. It is well connected to other important regions like Jalpaiguri, Siliguri and Darjeeling. This route is extensively used by various industries to procure raw materials and dispatch finished products to consumption Centres in North Bengal and other parts of the Country.

Railway connectivity:

The nearest railway station is Raninagar railway station which is just adjacent to the Industrial Park. New Jalpaiguri Station is at about 40 Km. from the Industrial Park.

Port connectivity:

The closest sea port is Kolkata port located at about 600 km away from the Industrial Park.

Airport connectivity:

The nearest airport to the Industrial Park is Bagdogra, which is about 51 km away from the location. Bagdogra is well connected to various major cities like New Delhi, Kolkata, and Guwahati by air.

There are three approach roads as access routes for industrial units in the Industrial Park.
Approach 1 - This two lane highway [SH 12A] with paved shoulder is maintained by National Highway Authority of India and is expected to be widened to four lanes soon.
Approach 2 - These are the internal routes and the access roads for industrial units in the Industrial Park. These routes are being maintained by WBIIDC.
Approach 3 - This route is being maintained by the Railway Authority

West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) is supplying stable and quality power supply to the industrial units of Raninagar Industrial Park.

Water

Water is supplied through network of pipelines from 3 bore wells and through two overhead reservoirs of 60,000 gallons and 75,000 gallons capacity.

Street light system is in existence at internal roads of the Park. WBIIDC has also taken initiatives for solar powered LED street light installation towards utilization of renewable energy and reduction of carbon footprint.

Raw Material procurement and consumption Centre

Since the industries in the Industrial Park are majorly small to medium scale industries, they source their raw material from nearby locations and have their distribution Centres in neighboring districts of North Bengal and other states in North East like Assam and Sikkim. As the Industrial Park has good approach road and NH connectivity, the transport of material in and out of the Industrial Park is smooth. Some units have their products being dispatched pan India.

  • Skill Development Centre:Space created for office, exhibition hall, training hall, Conference hall etc at ground floor, upper floors have been developed with rooms of different sizes for various uses.
