Connectivity
Road connectivity:
The site is connected to major cities like Kolkata and Durgapur by road. It is 156 Km away from Kolkata and lies along the Bisnupur-Durgapur state highway.
Railway connectivity:
The nearest railway station is Bisnupur Railway Station which is about 8 kms away from the Industrial Park.
Port connectivity:
The Haldia Port is the closest port from the Industrial Park at a distance of about 190 Km while the Kolkata port is located approximately 202 Km away from the site.
Airport connectivity:
The nearest major airport is the Kolkata Airport, located at a distance of about 180 KM from the site.
Physical features
The Industrial Park is providing lease holding to various industrial units and institutions for setting up their plants with Building Plan approved by the WBIIDC itself. Bishnupur has heavy industrial establishments and hence the area of land allotted per unit in Bishnupur is larger than many other Industrial Parks.

Roads and internal transportation
Paved Concrete internal roads are providing facilities of entry and exit access to all Industrial units within the Industrial Park
- Bishnupur Industrial Park.
There are three approach roads as access routes for industrial units in the Industrial Park.
- Approach 1 - This two lane state highway with paved shoulder is being maintained by the State Government and connects Bishnupur to Durgapur
- Approach 2 Approach 3 - These routes are within the Industrial Park and recently built as concrete pavement for smooth road traffic movement.
Power
West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd. (WBSEDCL) is providing stable and quality power supply to the units of Bishnupur Industrial Park. Adequate power is available in the area. One 33/11 KV Sub Station exists within the Industrial Park specially for providing stable power to units at the Industrial Park.
Water
Currently water is supplied from 4 underground bore wells in the Industrial Park as per requirement of industrial units. This supply is being fully managed by WBIIDC.
Street Lights
Street light system is in existence at internal roads of the Industrial Park. WBIIDC has also taken initiatives for solar powered LED street light installation towards utilization of renewable energy and reduction of carbon footprint.
Drainage and Sewerage
Drainage of treated industrial and storm sewer is facilitated through network of surface drains.

Raw Material procurement and consumption Centre
Since the industries in the Industrial Park are majorly metal based, they either import their raw materials from countries like Australia, South Africa and Turkey or from Indian states like Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh. Their consumption Centres is also varied and is sent to foreign countries in Europe as well as domestic locations to a few steel plants in India.Haldia Port is being used for importing or exporting most of their cargo. Most of the units use road transport for transporting goods.
