Connectivity

Road connectivity:

The site is connected by a two lane National Highway No. 117.

Railway connectivity:

The nearest railway station to Falta IGC is Diamond Harbour Railway Station at about 19 kms from the Industrial Park .

Port connectivity:

Kolkata and Haldia are the closest sea port from the Growth center at a distance of about 46 kms and 48 km respectively. Route to Haldia port includes ferry.

Waterways:

The river Hooghly flows just at the backdrop of the Industrial Park with the development of National Waterways 1,

Airport connectivity:

The nearest airport is the Kolkata Airport, located at a distance of 65 kms from Falta.

Physical features

The Industrial Park is providing lease holding to various industrial units and institutions for setting up their plants with Building Plan approved by the WBIIDC itself. Sector IV of Falta Industrial Park is also providing facilities for residential accommodation to the working persons in Industrial Park industrial units as well as those within Falta Special Economic Zone. For the purpose 11.74 acres of land is allotted to housing complexes in sector IV.

West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd. (WBSEDCL) is providing stable and quality power supply to the units of Falta Industrial Park. Adequate power is available in the area. One 33/11 KV Sub Station exists within the Industrial Park specially for providing power to units at the Industrial Park.



Water

Falta Industrial Park is located on Hooghly river front, due to close proximity to the sea the river water is saline. WBIIDC has made requisite arrangements to ensure industrial and domestic water supply to the Industrial Parks by pumping out ground water from deep tubewells through network of pipelines system


Street Lights

Street light system is in existence at internal roads of the Industrial Park. WBIIDC has also taken initiatives for solar powered LED street light installation towards utilization of renewable energy and reduction of carbon footprint.

Drainage and Sewerage

Drainage of treated industrial and storm sewer is facilitated through network of surface drains
